The island was bought by Marcegaglia tourism in 1988, since then the standards of rest have been increasing every year. The hotel was opened in 2013.
The island has 400 apartments and villas, as well as two hotels (Hotel Capo Nord consists of one 2-storey building, with a total of 88 rooms; Golf Hotel consists of a one-storey building, with a total of 22 rooms). The total area is 8 km2. Accommodation is expected for 12,000 tourists.

in the northern part of the island: surrounded by the typical Mediterranean forest "Niederwald", the hotel is nevertheless located directly on the coast.
The private island of Albarella is located in the park "Po delta", 70 km south of Venice. The island can be reached by car via the isthmus (12 km) connecting Arabella with the mainland, by boat or by helicopter. On the island, cars are allowed to get to and from the island, and transportation is provided by bicycles, golf carts, shuttle train, roller skates or on foot.
