The castle with a 400-year history is a real pearl on the banks of the Wörthersee.
The first building of the castle was erected in 1590-1603 for Baron Bartholomew Klevenhüller, in 1890 it was acquired by the Viennese industrialist Ernst Walliss. On his order, the castle was restored according to the original drawings and converted into a hotel. Aristocrats and politicians, people of art and representatives of high society, living not only in Austria, but also far beyond its borders, met here. Beginning in the 50s, the hotel served as a film set, and in the early 90s it acquired particular fame, becoming the setting for the popular TV series "Castle on the Wörthersee".
In 1990, the Schloss Velden hotel became the private residence of the German billionaire Gunter Sachs. In May 2007, the hotel reopened after restoration.

DBL Grand Deluxe (52-54 m2 , located on the 3rd floor of a modern building, the sleeping and living areas are visually separated, balcony);
JS (58-78 m2 , rooms are located on the 3rd floor of a modern building, sleeping and living areas are visually separated, balcony, Lavazza coffee maker, SPA products from the Acqua di Parma line);
3 Family Suite (65-74 m2 , for 2-4 persons, in a historical building, bedroom and living room, garden view);
Schloss Suite (61-80 m2 , located on the top floor, round beds, double door between the living room and the salon);
Royal Suite (57-67 m2 , bedroom and living room, lake view);
Romantik Suite (92-109 m2 , in a historical building, double door between the living room and salon, some rooms have a sauna, some rooms have a children's piano);
Kaiser Suite (300 m2 , 2 bedrooms, living room, study, conference room with all necessary equipment, large balcony, dining room for 8 people, lake view from all windows).
on the lake shore, next to the promenade and the central part of Velden, consists of historical and modern buildings.
